Chipotle Chile Chicken Wings
A chipotle chile is a smoked jalapeño a dried chile pepper, in other words. Most of the time, it is reconstituted with oils and vinegars. Sometimes it is ground and made into a sauce,
which is quite easy to find in cans in specialty stores and some supermarkets. Its well with black beans, smoky flavor goes soups, corn salad, and chicken. These wings are a good example and a sure-fire hit. Nobody eats just one.
Ingredients
- 4 ½ pounds chicken wings about 30
- ½ cup honey
- Juice of 1 lime
- 3 tablespoons canned chipotle chile sauce
- 3 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 tablespoon ancho chile powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the tip off each chicken wing and discard. Rinse the wings and pat dry.
- In a large bowl, stir the remaining ingredients together well.
- Add the chicken wings and stir until well combined. With your fingers, make sure that every wing is uniformly coated.
- Arrange the chicken wings in one layer on the baking sheet and roast for about 45 minutes. Serve hot or within 2 hours of finishing. If holding, cover the wings with foil.
