STRAWBERRY, BANANA, COCONUT, HERB
Strawberry banana is the vanilla milkshake of the smoothie world… add lemon, mint, and cilantro and take it to the next level.
Makes about 1 (16-ounce) serving
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 lemon, peeled
- 5 springs fresh mint
- 1 bunch of fresh cilantro
- 1 cup coconut water
- 3 or 4 ice cubes
GOOD MORNING GREENS
Adding avocado makes this green smoothie a rich, delicious way to start your morning.
Makes 1 to 2 (16-ounce) servings
- 1 grapefruit, peeled
- 2 oranges, peeled
- 1 lime, peeled
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup firmly packed spinach
- 1/2 head romaine
- 4 kale leaves
- 4 swiss chard leaves
- 1/2 avocado, pitted and peeled
- 3 or 4 ice cubes
WATERMELON CHIA POWER SMOOTHIE
Cool watermelon, spicy ginger, and fresh mint combined are a great start for any smoothie; in this recipe, chia seeds add omega-3s and lower your blood pressure. Drink this one right away because the chia seeds thicken the mixture as they sit in the liquid.

- 3 cups cubed watermelon
- 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and diced
